The Fontvieille Santon Fair and Christmas Market is the premier Christmas event in the Alpilles. With over 70 exhibitors, there’s something for everyone!
Discover the ancestral skills of the santonniers, crèchistes and accessory makers who recreate our villages, the inhabitants and the small trades of yesteryear around the Provençal cot.
Come and meet the stallholders at the Christmas Market, a veritable market of flavours and traditions, where you’ll find all sorts of tasty ideas for the festive season. Cinnamon mulled wine, roasted chestnuts, foie gras, chocolate, nougat, biscuits, Christmas decorations, jewellery and candles, soaps and cosmetics, pottery… and many other delights and treasures to offer.
The Fontvieille Santon Fair will take place on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 November 2024. Traditionally held on the 2nd weekend in November, it marks the start of the period of preparation for the end-of-year festivities.
This year, the santon fair celebrates its 41st anniversary.
More than 25 craftsmen and master santon makers will be on hand to show you their creations, recreating the villages of Provence, its inhabitants and the small trades of yesteryear around the cot.
The Christmas Market, combined with the Santon Fair, takes you to the heart of the village to prepare for the festive season with traditional products, delicacies and gift ideas for all the family, not forgetting the unmissable hot chestnuts... More than 50 exhibitors will be showcasing their best products.
There's entertainment for all the family on both days. Children can take part in activities and workshops, while musical entertainment wends its way through the village streets. It's also the perfect place to meet Father Christmas!

Inflatable games for the little ones, wooden games for all the family, horse rides, workshops with the little donkeys, choir and fairytale parade, the Christmas carriage, Santa's letterbox...

A number of restaurants are offering special events and menus for the occasion, and the village’s shopkeepers will be delighted to give you gift ideas for your nearest and dearest. The Tourist Office team welcomes you at the entrance to the multi-purpose hall.

Difficult traffic. The Cours Hyacinthe Bellon is closed on Saturday and Sunday from 2pm to 6pm.

Make-up and Christmas clowns, children's games in front of the arena, horse rides, surprises from the Comité des Fêtes and an exhibition of intergenerational workshops organised by Fontvielle town hall.
